New Training Courses

Innovative Occupational Hygiene Training for Developing Safety Professionals

Duration: 5 days

HAZCON is running a series of internationally recognised occupational hygiene modules at its purpose built training facility in Melbourne. The courses supported by the International Occupational Hygiene Association are divided into eight modules of 5 days covering all the key aspects of occupational hygiene:

Permit to Work (PTW) Training

Duration: 4 hours

Aim: This course will provide participants with the understanding of the purposes of permit to work systems in particiular for high risk activities.

Key Areas Covered:

  • When is a permit to work required
  • Issues of permit to processes - Roles and responsibilities
  • Communication processes to compliment permit systems
  • Job Hazard Analysis
  • Plant isolation/Lock out tag out procedures
  • Training and competency
  • Documentation, records and auditing.

Target Audience: Site Managers, Project Managers, Maintenance Managers, Maintenance Personne,. Contract Managers and Operational Staff.

NOTE: Permit to Work training can be generic or customised to reflect the organisation's specific operational procedures.

 

Safety Leadership Training for Managers

Duration: 8 hours

Aim: This programme will give participants an understanding of the core competencies needed for managing OH&S in the workplace.

Safety Leadership Training is about ensuring that employees' safe acts are reinforced and unsafe acts are identified in a positive and professional way.

Participants will be able to work with employees to improve work practices and reinforce a positive safety culture.

Safety Leadership Training can also be a very useful tool for supervising and managing contractors.
