R U OK? Day - Thursday 14th September

Posted by Richard Forster on 12 September 2017

Just a reminder that Thursday 14th September is R U OK? Day. This is a national day of action dedicated to reminding everyone that we all have what it takes to ask the simple question "Are you ok?" We can all help to support those who may be struggling with life. Taking part can be as simple as learning R U OK?'s four steps for facilitating a conversation that could ultimately change a life. The four steps are as follows:

1. Ask
2. Listen
3. Encourage action
4. Check in

The day is about inspiring people to start these conversations every day of the year. Help get your workplace asking "Are you ok?" For further information on the four steps and to access resources please visit the R U OK? Day website at www.ruok.org.au
