Confined Space Entry for Supervisors

Since 1994, HAZCON has been committed to offering quality HSE training services to our clients. The HAZCON developed Confined Space Entry for Supervisors training aims to be interactive, engaging and relevant to participants.

Duration: 4 hours

Aim: This course will provide participants with additional knowledge and practical skills required to supervise work activities in a confined space area.

Key Areas Covered

Provide an understanding of legislative obligations for employees and employers under the Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004 and the Occupational Health and Safety Regulations 2017. The course includes discussion of guidance material such as; the WorkSafe Victoria Compliance Code: Confined Spaces  and the Australian Standard Safe Working in a Confined Space AS 2865-2009.

  • Gas testing requirements
  • Entry permits
  • Stand by personnel
  • Emergency planning
  • Documentation
  • Inspection of confined space work

This course can be conducted on site at your company's premises or at one of HAZCON's training facilities. HAZCON offers tailored training of this course so as to include your relevant policies and procedures and required learning outcomes.

Target Audience: Site managers, site supervisors, engineers, contract managers, council and local government maintenance managers, project managers and any person required to supervise either employees or contractors undertaking confined space entry works.
