Brief Employment History

Ian has over twenty years' experience in the chemical and plastics industries as a Quality Assurance Manager, Regional Technical Manager and Regional Sales Manager. Ian has a broad range of experience as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Hazardous and Dangerous Goods, Poisons, NICNAS and other regional chemical control laws. 

Ian has been the principal consultant for HAZCON Pty Ltd since 2009 and is the principal consultant for conducting OHS/WHS audits and chemical risk assessments. 

Ian has audited 14 separate wind farm operations in Victoria, NSW, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia against a range of compliance criteria. He was engaged as an on-site HSE consultant during the final stages of commissioning of a new wind farm in NSW. He also audited a gas combined cycle power station in Queensland to the Gas and Petroleum Act, a gas turbine power station in Western Australia and a gas steam power station in South Australia.

Ian has conducted incident investigations into electrical, port operation and chemical legislative breaches. He assessed a major hazard facilities chemical management processes and reviewed the safety management systems and practices for an emergency services organisation.
A trained Lean Six Sigma Green belt, Ian brings a wealth of project management skills to the organisation.

Ian is a qualified workplace trainer, an Asbestos Identifier and Air Monitoring signatory, an Exemplar Global Principal OHS auditor and a registered cooling tower auditor.
