Practical Risk Assessment & Job Safety Analysis (JSA)

Duration: 4 hours

Aim: To give participants the knowledge and practical skills to conduct and implement risk assessments with the use of either a Job Safety Environmental Analysis (JSEA) or a Safe Work Method Statement (SWMS).

Note: The SWMS is similar to a Job Safety Environmental Analysis (JSEA), which has been widely used in the Victorian construction industry. Employers may continue to use existing JSEA formats, providing they contain all the information required in an SWMS.

The training involves practical exercises to give participants a thorough understanding of how to identify, evaluate and control hazards in the workplace.

  • Safe Work Method Statements
  • Hierarchy of controls

Target Audience: Employees and employers in the construction and industrial environments.

This course can be conducted 'in house' at your company's premises or at HAZCON's specialised training facilities in Trafalgar or Notting Hill.
