Preventing and Managing Work-Related Stress

Duration: 4 hours

Aim: This course aims to give participants an understanding of what causes stress, common symptoms and strategies ways to reduce stress in the workplace. Work-related stress describes the physical, mental, emotional and behavioural reactions of personnel who perceive that their work demands exceed their abilities and/or resources to cope and do their work.

  • Relevant health and safety legislation and guidance material
  • Duty holders and duties
  • Organisational causes and effects of stress
  • Risk management
  • Job design and other contributors
  • Early intervention
  • Support and resources

Target Audience: Managers, supervisors, employees, human resources personnel as well as health and safety personnel.

This HSE training course is not currently available in HAZCON's public training schedule. This course can be conducted 'in house' at your company's premises or at HAZCON's specialised training facilities in Trafalgar or Notting Hill.
