Verification of Competency (VOC)

Employers must take reasonable and practical steps to ensure the competency of their workforce for the work they perform and the operation of workplace plant and equipment.

It is no longer acceptable for employers to assume an employee is competent, which makes Verification of Competency assessment (VOC) ideal for assessing existing and contract employees along with pre-employment competency checks.

Our VOC program involves minimal disruption to the workplace and is usually conducted on-site against checklists developed using National Competencies and existing Site Policies and Procedures, including workplace rules/policies, Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) and Job Environmental & Safety Analysis (JSA / JEA) documentation. Tailoring a solution which aligns to individual business requirements.

HAZCON is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) capable of undertaking VOC assessments on behalf of employers, contractors and principals.

Please contact HAZCON to discuss your business requirements so we can  work with you to tailor a solution for your business needs.
